Overview

Pup Personality ("we", "our", or "the app") is a fun, entertainment-only personality quiz for dogs. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Data We Collect

Locally stored data: Your pet's name, optional breed selection, quiz answers, and personality results are stored on your device using local storage. This data is not transmitted to any server. Certain non-identifying details (such as breed and personality type code) are sent to Firebase Analytics as part of anonymous usage events, as described under Third-Party Services below.

Photos: If you choose to add photos to your share card, those images are accessed from your device's photo library and are only used locally to create the share image. We do not upload, store, or process your photos on any server.

Advertising

The app may display ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. If you grant tracking permission, ads may be personalised based on your activity across other apps and websites. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via your device Settings under Privacy > Tracking.

Third-Party Services

In addition to Google AdMob (described above), the app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as which personality types are most common and how often share features are used. No personally identifiable information is collected through Firebase Analytics. We do not use any crash reporting or additional tracking services.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require account creation or any personal details beyond the pet's name you choose to enter.

Data Retention and Deletion

All quiz data is stored locally on your device. You can delete any pet's results at any time by long-pressing the pet card and tapping Delete. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. Anonymous analytics data previously sent to Firebase cannot be recalled or deleted, as it is not linked to your identity.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can view, modify, or delete your data at any time within the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated "Last updated" date.
